Why you should vote for me:

I am a young, driven entrepreneur with a small business background spanning a number of industries. My diverse experience in the energy sector, risk management, private equity financing and tech sector venture capital, can provide a unique voice and perspective at the board level.

As a small business owner, I see significant value in the grass roots, co-operative banking model. Exceptional customer solutions make Conexus a leading institution in this space, and I want to contribute to its continual growth and evolution. Conexus is leading the industry with forward thinking initiatives like The Cultivator, something that will transform both the credit union and the Regina community.

Key strategic opportunities for Conexus Credit Union in the next two to five years:

I believe there are expansion opportunities with wealth management and on-line investment platforms within the credit union model. Client directed investment accounts continue to grow rapidly, and Conexus has an opportunity to increase market share by offering such a service.

Customer service strategies also continue to change with a younger demographic. In-person banking has been transformed by on-line platforms, and this will continue to evolve. Virtual meetings, house calls and alternative customer service models will be part of strategy discussions going forward.

Key risk factors facing Conexus Credit Union in the next two to five years:

With tech and digital innovation transforming our daily interactions, it will be important for Conexus to continue to evolve and meet/exceed the needs of customers, specifically by expanding their digital channels. The Cultivator will do many things for Conexus, but in relation to technology, it will promote innovation and provide access to people and ideas within the incubator and accelerator. This will be a fantastic resource.

Growth in the overall customer base will continue to be a focus – attracting new people and businesses to the credit union by providing superior, cutting edge services in comparison to banks. Adapting to a “millennial” led world will be very important, where remote, digital access and interaction is vital to attract young business.
