Why you should vote for me:

I am very passionate about the co-operative system, its values and the values of Conexus. As a member of the board, it is my responsibility to model these values. Members are the top priority.

I grew up in a rural community banking with a credit union and working in the retail co-operative system. My grandfather was chair of the board of our local credit union.

I want to:

  • ensure that people understand the differences between a credit union and a bank and how credit unions can offer customized, personal solutions to the issues facing our members
  • ensure that younger and future generations understand the co-operative system and the benefits it provides
  • encourage giving back to community
  • ensure Conexus delivers on its co-operative values and contributes to the financial success and well-being of its members and gives back to the communities it serves and continues to contribute to the economic well-being of Saskatchewan
Key strategic opportunities for Conexus Credit Union in the next two to five years:

  • Conexus is member-focused. Our purpose is to improve the financial well-being of our members and our communities. We want to continue to increase our ability to improve the overall member experience. We are member-centric and this is our foundation and what drives us.
  • Conexus has been recognized as being innovative in meeting our member needs.
  • Developing new technology to keep up with what our members want, while also realizing that not all members want the newest and best technology. Balancing the needs of all of our members.
  • Relationship building with our personal and business members. Being their partner and delivering what they need, how they need it. Customized solutions for each member.
  • Increasing wallet share, commitment to increasing the financial health of our members.
Key risks facing Conexus Credit Union in the next two to five years:

  • Understanding and meeting the needs of an increasingly diverse population. Different languages, different cultures and different views on finances.
  • Understanding what the needs of all of our members are and developing innovative ways to deliver the personalized service credit unions are known for.
  • Continuing to increase financial literacy for all, not just for our members.
  • Ensuring we protect the assets we have been entrusted with. Things like cyber security are top of mind. The world is changing rapidly and we must be constantly changing and adapting to ensure we are good stewards of member resources.
