Why you should vote for me:

I have a financial/leadership background. I believe in the co-operative model and sound values, and I will serve to help Conexus and its members achieve their goals.

I have been a member of Conexus Credit Union since 1975. I am community minded as I have:

  • volunteered to coach youth sports (football, curling, soccer)
  • volunteered for school related activities (playing guitar for concerts, assisting with sports events, chaperoning field trips)
  • volunteered for local fundraising events (dinner theatre, golf tournaments)
Conexus Credit Union is built on community-minded principles, with a goal of improving the financial well-being of its members and communities. I have obtained valuable experience in leading organizations in financial, strategic, operational and regulatory planning and processes. I am familiar with the operations and regulation of credit unions as I audited this sector early in my career.

Key strategic opportunities for Conexus Credit Union in the next two to five months:

  • Growth – to expand current membership by demonstrating the value of membership
  • Customer Service – to exceed the financial service needs of our members in a professional manner
  • Technology – providing financial services in the digital age is creating new opportunities and much competition in the sector and financial institutions need to be at the leading edge of this technology
  • Uniqueness – identifying and capitalizing on what distinguishes credit unions apart from other financial institutions
Key risks for Conexus Credit Union in the next two to five years:

Competition. With electronic access, financial service providers are able to serve clients from anywhere across the globe. Service providers come in various forms (brick and mortar to online, and any combination in between). Therefore, it is critical that Conexus knows its members and the types of financial services they demand, and to be able to offer to members various options, while first and foremost maintaining the security of funds and information of its members.
