January 5 - Simplifying your banking

December 9 - Conexus Mobile App Update for Apple Devices

An updated Conexus Mobile App for Apple devices is now available in the Apple App Store.

The updated app includes the following:

  • Minor bug fixes
  • Apple Watch App

We are excited to be releasing the Apple Watch app for our members who are on the go! You will be able to check their account balances using QuickView as well as find the closest branch or ATM.

December 1 - High interest savings/US dollar chequing account changes

We’re changing up our products to help make them a little less confusing and simplify your banking.

Effective January 1, 2017 you’ll notice some changes to your US dollar chequing account and high interest savings account.


November 30 - Personal Financial Management (PFM) coming to your Online Banking soon!

Just a few weeks ago, we were able to bring you exciting new changes to our Online Banking, which was in anticipation to introduce our new Online Banking with Personal Financial Management (PFM) feature!
With the new personal financial management feature, you can:

  • See your spending automatically categorized and displayed in graphs and charts that make it easy to see where your money goes each month
  • Personalize budgets to help you manage your money better
  • See all your accounts in one place by linking accounts you hold at other financial institutions

PFM conveniently allows you to see where your money is going each month and easily identify opportunities you may have to save. By safely and securely linking your accounts from other financial institutions, PFM helps paint your full financial picture. It makes organizing your finances simple and automatically categorizes your transactions to give you a quick and easy-to-read spending snapshot. It even has the capability to customize your category names to suit your own style and preference!

PFM is a great first step to increasing personal financial awareness and can support you in setting, monitoring and reaching financial goals.

October 31 - Updated branch hours for Central Butte

In order to better serve our members, our Central Butte branch will be open during the lunch hour.

Effective November 7 the following hours will be in place:

  • Monday – Thursday – 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


October 20 - Another reason to celebrate and show how Credit Unions Knock Your Socks Off!

It’s International Credit Union Day and we couldn’t be more excited to share with our members that our new service, Mobile Pay, has won a very prestigious industry award - The 2016 IVIE Award for Canadian Payment Innovation Benefiting Consumers. For those members who have used the slick new payment service can attest to its awesomeness! No longer do you need to carry around your wallet as your phone is your new debit card.

August 30 - City of Regina approves land transfer paving way for Conexus partnership with University of Regina

Regina City Council has approved the donation of 2.6 acres of land to the University of Regina’s College Avenue Campus (CAC) Renewal Project. This decision enables Conexus to continue to proceed with a unique partnership with the University. 

Conexus will contribute up to $8.25 million dollars to the University for the CAC renewal and the enhancement of Darke Hall. In return, Conexus will build a corporate headquarters on the University land west of Darke Hall. The corporate headquarters would include a first of its kind business incubator for Regina, helping small businesses get off the ground.  The building would also house up to 200 Conexus corporate services employees.

Conexus has an 80 year history of supporting communities in Saskatchewan and has shared values with the University. This partnership is about an investment in our members, the University of Regina, the city, the province and an investment in education.

“As a co-operative we believe in partnerships and collaboration and making a difference in our communities,” says Eric Dillon Conexus CEO.  “We are excited and privileged about the opportunity to work with the university to bring College Avenue Campus back to life. This is a significant business decision that will have maximum impact in our community and create a lasting legacy for all of Regina and southern Saskatchewan.”
The next step in the development is to work with the Wascana Centre Authority on approval and design.

August 25 - Better than a bank – Credit Unions lead the industry in customer service

Credit unions are considered one of the best kept secrets within the financial industry.  Today we want to share this secret with the world. 

We are better than a bank!

Today, it was announced that credit unions have received both the 2016 Customer Service Excellence and Branch Service Excellence Awards for the 12th year in a row from the annual Ipsos Best Banking Awards program. But that’s not all! We have also been recognized within nine other categories.

It’s an exciting time to be part of a credit union as we are continually striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members, their families and their communities. This isn’t just something we say, it’s our reality, it’s what we do; and it’s great to be recognized for it.


July 27 - Conexus Insurance sold to Knight Archer Insurance

Today we announced the sale of our general insurance subsidiary, Conexus Insurance, to Regina-based Knight Archer Insurance. Knight Archer, one of Canada’s fastest growing insurance brokerages, takes over operation of the business effective September 6.

We’re pleased to say that all Conexus Insurance employees will be offered positions with Knight Archer, so Conexus Insurance clients can expect to receive the same great service from the same friendly professionals they’ve already built relationships with.

The sale is an exciting development for Conexus Insurance employees and clients alike. Knight Archer is an award-winning insurance brokerage with an excellent reputation that shares many of the values Conexus holds dear.

July 7 - How to Manage Your Account During Canada Post Service Disruptions

While Canada Post (CP) and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) continue to negotiate a new collective agreement, there is a potential for services to be halted by Canada Post.

For up-to-date information refer to

  • Please be aware that Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers continue to negotiate and although neither side has applied for 72-hour strike notice, postal disruptions remain a possibility.
  • Should there be a service disruption, any mail delivery, including things like paper statements, will either be delayed or halted. Please be sure to consider this potential delay when making your payments by mail (especially with Property Taxes).
  • Although these delays are not within our control, we want to help you minimize any disruptions to you and your financial needs. We have many convenient options for you to make payments and access your Conexus Credit Union account information.

During the Canada Post service disruption, we won't be able to mail you statements or renewal notices. It is important to keep your account in good standing and keep up with your scheduled payments.

What to do if there are service delivery interruptions:

In the event you don’t receive our regular Conexus statements due to mail delivery interruptions, you can always view your banking account balances and transactions online or at the branch.

You can also phone our automated telephone line at 1-800-567-0101 or the Member Contact Centre  1-800-667-7477 for banking account balances and transactions.

Need a printed banking statement?

If you need a printed banking statement for a specific reason, you can order one from your branch. It takes a few days to complete this order and a service fee may apply.

July 4 - Updated Electronic Services Agreement

Our Electronic Services Agreements (ESA) have been updated effective July 4, 2016.

Changes included the following:

  • Personal Financial Management – Coming soon.
  • Clarification of usage of public computers to access Online Banking
  • Conexus Mobile Pay

A new version of the Conexus Mobile App is now available in the app store.

What’s new?

  • Alerts – you can now add and manage alerts in the app

June 24 - Have you Heard!

Conexus was part of some exciting news this week from the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly, Debates and Proceeding meeting. The first Independent Auditors report was released and exceeded all expectations from Canada’s first Social Impact Bond. In a five year span the goal was to have 22 moms and kids still together six months after leaving the program. After just two years 21 children already remain with their families.

A Social Impact Bond is an innovative tool that brings together partners to deliver a measurable social benefit reducing costs and rewarding successes. The partners are a non – profit the program provider, corporate or private investors and the government acts the overseer.  The Sweet Dreams project is an example of how a Social Impact Bond works.
 In 2014 Conexus partnered with the Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. (EGADZ), Wally & Colleen Mah on the first Social Impact Bond in Canada called the Sweet Dreams Project.

EGADZ started out as drop in centre for young people in Saskatoon over twenty years ago  and today it is known as a groundbreaking organization that provides services and support for children, youth and families in the Saskatoon area. 

The Sweet Dreams Project provides single mothers with children who are at risk of requiring services from Child and Family services safe housing while they work on completing their education or acquiring employment. Success for the Sweet Dreams Project is to be determined based on the number of families that remain together without requiring foster care services for a period of six months after the completion of the program.  Progress will be measured by an independent assessor.  Progress of outcomes will be evaluated after years two and four of the Agreement.  The final assessment of the project and amount of repayment to investors will be assessed during the final year of the Agreement.

This project is making a difference in the lives of children and their families and simply to keep families whole. The auditor’s report, combined with the testimonial from the Chantal McLaren, who spoke at the Legislative event, demonstrates that Conexus is poised to improve the lives of our most vulnerable citizens.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved with the success of this Social Impact Bond and the Sweet Dreams Project.

June 8 - Member Contact Centre – Changes to Menu Options

Effective June 7,  the Member Contact Centre has made some changes to the upfront menu options. Previously, we provided an upfront menu that allowed members to choose lending, investments or everyday banking. In order to serve you better, we have removed the menu options, and if you stay on the line, any of our financial advisors will be able to assist you.

Why the change?

In 2015, we answered 148,276 member calls. As of May 31, 2016, we’re happy to report that we have already responded to 73,082 calls. By removing our upfront menu, this creates greater efficiencies, and more direct and convenient service for members.

The Member Contact Centre can be reached at 1-800-667-7477. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

June 8 - A Camping We Will Go...

Do you know a person between the ages of 12 and 18? Are they into trying new things, making new friends, developing their leadership skills? Are they fun loving, enjoy camping and outdoor activities? Then Co-op

Youth Camp is for them!  Our Conexus staff volunteers are all trained up and ready to make the camping experience fun, educational, and memorable. 

Conexus is sponsoring 20 kids to attend camp this year. Encourage your kids, your neighbour’s kids or someone you know to sign up.  Posters along with registration are available in all Conexus Credit Union branch locations or visit the SYCP website at for more info on the camps.  Deadline for applications to be dropped off at any Conexus Credit Union location is June 17th.

April 18 - Services expanding in Cudworth

Effective April 18 we are pleased to offer extended hours to our members who use the Cudworth branch.

The branch will be open Monday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

In addition, Cudworth will have a dedicated financial advisor available to help answer questions about day-to-day personal and business banking, loans and investments.


April 11 - New Bill Payments feature in Online Banking

A new feature in Online Banking allows you to set up recurring bill payments. The Recurring Bill Payments feature is helpful to use when you have a bill that’s the same amount each time you pay it. For example, you may have a utility bill that’s set up as an equalized payment at $100 a month, that way the same amount will come out of your account on the same day each month or year.




February 10 - enhancement for mobile phones

Using the website on your mobile phone just got easier. No more pinching and pulling to help fit the website on the screen of your phone so you can read it properly. That’s because the entire website is now compatible with your phone, making mobile viewing much easier.

January 19 - UPDATE: Important Changes to Online Banking Login

Effective January 24, 2015, you will notice a change to how you login to Online Banking. You will enter your MEMBER CARD card number and your password on the login portal of the home page on You will no longer be taken to a separate page where you see a security image and enter your password. The change is being made to simplify the Online Banking login and does not impact security.

November 24 - New Feature for Online Banking

Making an additional payment to the principal of your loan just got easier. You can now do it online. 

We’ve added a new feature to our Transfer Funds section in Online Banking that allows you to make an additional principal only payment to your loan. To make the additional principal only payment, you will need to check the new box while in the second step of the Transfer Funds form.

Note: This feature is not available for mortgage payments.
