Are there card exceptions to this offer? Expand/Collapse

This offer applies to all consumer rewards cards. The Student card is not eligible, as they do not earn rewards.

If I purchases groceries and makes a return at that merchant, what happens? Expand/Collapse

The promotion is based on a statement cycle, so whenever the items are returned, points earned in that specific transaction will be revised. This is the same process as any purchase returned.

Does I need to sign up to earn the 50% more points? Expand/Collapse

No, members do not need to sign up. All bonus points will be rewarded automatically on an ongoing basis during the promotional period, when their statement cycles.

Do department stores fit the merchant category codes for this offer? Expand/Collapse

No. Unfortunately department stores do not show up in our operating systems as an eligible merchant category code of a supermarket, grocery store or bakery. This also applies to Costco, as it is a ‘wholesale club’.

If a member purchases groceries at a store that doesn’t fall into the eligible merchant category, what happens? Expand/Collapse

Specifically, the merchant category codes 5411 (supermarkets and grocery stores) and 5462 (bakeries) earn points. If a transaction at a merchant does not fall under those two codes, it will not earn extra points.
