Activate and Update

Are you one of our members that had their old credit card replaced with a new Conexus Mastercard®? If your answer is yes, there are two key steps you need to take to complete this transition! Completing these two steps will ensure that your credit card account is not impacted, and you have a positive credit card experience.

Step 1: Activating your card

The first step to completing the credit card transition is to activate your card! You can activate in one of three ways:

  1. Register for a MyCardInfo account and activate online. This is also the way you can view and manage your account information and sign up for eStatements.
  2. Call the activation number on the sticker on your new Conexus Mastercard. Note that wait times vary when calling the activation number.
  3. Call into our Member Contact Centre at 1-800-667-7477 or stop in at one of our branches.
Once you activate you can choose to keep the PIN that was mailed to you, or you can select your own. If you’d like to select your own, please call PIN NOW at 1-844-788-2725.

Step 2: Update your credit card payment information

Did you know your new card has a new card number, expiry date, and CVV? If you’re like us, you probably have a number of pre-authorized payments set up. Maybe you even have stores or businesses that keep your credit card on file. It’s important to make sure that you update any businesses that may have your old credit card number.

  • Update any existing pre-authorized payments that are charged to your credit card (Amazon, iTunes, utilities).
  • Update any businesses who keep your credit card number on file (e.g. drycleaners).
  • When making a payment to your credit card, please ensure you update your new credit card number within your list of bill payees in online banking and/or telephone banking as applicable.

    1. When setting it up in Conexus online/telephone banking, search for ‘Conexus CAD Mastercard’ or ‘Conexus USD Mastercard’ (for US card only). For other financial institutions, search for ‘Conexus MasterCard’.
Lastly, don’t forget to cut up your old credit card as it no longer works!
