November 10 - Removal of the Personal Financial Management Tool in Online Banking

As digital banking continues to evolve, so do we. It is our commitment to provide our members with the best solutions available to make your banking life easier and more convenient. When deciding how to best serve our members there are times when we need to take a step back and review, and this is the case with our current Personal Financial Management (PFM) Tool in Online Banking.

Effective Wednesday, November 25, the PFM tool will be removed from your online banking.

What does this change mean?

This means the following functionalities will no longer be available:

  • Accounts linked under “External Accounts” such as credit cards from other financial institutions or pension accounts Adding assets and liabilities
  • Viewing transaction categories, spending and trends analysis
  • Using the manage budget and groups tab

All other features within our online banking and mobile apps will remain the same, including accounts linked under "Partner Accounts". This includes Conexus Mastercard (Collabria), Credential Asset Management Inc., Credential Qtrade Securities Inc., and Qtrade Investor accounts.

It is important to us to offer digital banking tools and features that enhance your experience and help manage your finances even more safely and securely. We are exploring other options to implement in the future to bring value to our members.

Q1: Why is the Performance Financial Management (PFM) tool being removed?

We are glad you liked this tool! We often take the time to evaluate the solutions and tools we are offering our members as we want to provide the best options possible to make your banking life easier, safer and more convenient. Unfortunately, this tool was not a commonly used feature by most of our members and was not providing the value we strive to offer. We understand how this might feel and we can assure you that we are focusing on bringing you even better tools and features in the future.

Q2: What will happen to some of my favorite features? Will my accounts still be linked?

Accounts linked under ‘Partner accounts’ (Conexus Mastercard, Credential Asset Management Inc., Credential Qtrade Securities Inc., and Qtrade Investor accounts) will remain linked. Accounts under ‘External Accounts’ will no longer be available. Information added under ‘Assets and Liabilities’ will also be removed. Other features that will no longer be available include:

  • Spending and Trends
  • Spending Analysis
  • Categories
  • Budgets Groups

Q3: Is there any action I have to take on my end?

No, you will not have to make any changes to your existing online banking or mobile app. Your online banking might look a little different when the PFM tool is removed. To view what these changes to your account may look like, click here. In the mobile app, the spending tile and the external linked accounts will be removed.

Q4: How can I capture my budget or any additional information that I have entered such as assets and liabilities?

You will have to manually capture your information prior to November 25. You can do this by taking a screenshot of the webpage, or by copy and pasting your information into a word document or excel spreadsheet. If you require assistance, give us a call and we can walk you through it!

Q5: Why don't my accounts linked under 'Partner Accounts' appear in my list of accounts in my mobile app?

We are currently investigating this issue and will have it up and running as soon as we can! In the meantime, please go to our full site to view these accounts.
