Reporting Fraud
If you believe you may have been the victim of fraud or encounter any fraudulent activity:
Where can I get help or more information?
Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC): is a great source for information on scams affecting Canadians, as it collects data on fraud/identity theft and shares past and current information. However, it does not forward complaints to law enforcement agencies and is jointly operated by OPP, RCMP, and the Competition Bureau.
RCMP: the RCMP website highlights the latest consumer scams and how you can deal with them
Reporting Economic Crime Online: The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre is a helpful website that will inform you of current bulletins of new scams and fraud
If you want to report a suspicious communication that claims to be from Conexus (such as phone calls, text messages or emails) and you have NOT supplied any personal information through a suspicious website, please forward a copy to security@conexus.ca. The sooner we learn about these fraudulent sites, the sooner we can have them taken down to prevent people from falling victim to the fraudsters. If you’ve supplied ANY information, please contact us in one of the above ways so that we can ensure your account is safe.
