Becoming a member is easy. A one-time $5 membership share is all it takes to join Conexus and become a co-owner of our financial co-operative. As a member-owner, you have a voice in how we operate and access to solutions designed to help you reach your financial goals.

Ownership.

As a member, you have an actual voice in how we operate and the services we provide by voting for our board of directors.

We offer comprehensive financial services for personal, commercial, and farm needs, including banking, wealth management, investments, savings, and loans for every life stage.

What you need to open an account.

Opening an account starts with confirming your identity. This must be done in person, so you'll need to book an appointment. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and your Social Insurance Number (SIN). Accepted photo ID includes a driver's license, passport, status or treaty card, permanent resident card, province or territory ID card or foreign passport.*

If you don't have government-issued photo ID, bring any 2 of the following: an original birth certificate, marriage certificate or Refugee Program Identity Document (RPID).* 

Note: all accounts are subject to a credit check.**

Account types.

Youth account – 18 and under.

  • Under 12 needs parent or guardian identification
  • Age 12 to 15 needs 1 photo ID of the child and 1 of the guardian
  • Age 16 to 18 needs 1 photo ID of the youth

Shared or dual account.

  • All account holders must come into any branch to sign off on any changes in operation or ownership in person
  • Understand what joint ownership means, including how funds are handled in the event of death or changes to the account

To become a member, you purchase a membership share and become a member-owner. This membership share is a one-time $5 purchase. 

Some account setup may begin online, but there are certain account types, such as joint accounts or youth accounts, that may require an in-branch visit.

You'll need to confirm your identity in person, so book an appointment first. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and your Social Insurance Number (SIN). If you don't have photo ID, ask us which other documents we accept.
