Introducing our cohort 2 of agtech companies for the AGTECH ACCELERATOR program
(Thurs. March 2. 2023 - Regina, SK) – The AGTECH ACCELERATOR, founded by Cultivator powered by Conexus (Cultivator), Emmertech, and Economic Development Regina (EDR), is excited to announce the 16 companies selected to participate in cohort 2 of its program. The AGTECH ACCELERATOR program is a 12-week, venture-backed accelerator program built with founders and farmers as the foundation, and combines agriculture and technology to accelerate the development of agriculture technology startups in Canada and beyond. From March to June each year, the selected cohort companies will go through programming, connect with expert mentors, investors, service providers, and producers in the industry, and at the end of three months, founders will pitch their company at Demo Day on the main stage of Canada’s Farm Show, in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The AGTECH ACCELERATOR was launched in 2021, and its inaugural cohort consisted of 16 companies from across Canada and the UK. These companies yielded incredible success in 2022– raising $31.7 million in private capital, generating $16.2 million in revenue, and receiving $19.1 million in public funding.
With the rooted achievement, the AGTECH ACCELERATOR has garnered attention globally, gaining over 100 applications from high-growth agtech companies and continues to build its worldwide connections through the partnership with Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency and part of UK Research and Innovation. A global partner and companies brings new perspectives and ideas to the AGTECH ACCELERATOR cohort, further establishing Saskatchewan as a global agtech hub.
