Growing the economy and supporting Saskatchewan communities, businesses and members is what Conexus does. Cultivating growth that supports all of us.

Conexus Venture Capital Inc. is excited to announce the addition of Jordan McFarlen, as a Director with Conexus Venture Capital. Jordan is a fierce advocate for Founders, previously honing his skills in the startup and business ecosystem at Cultivator, another Conexus innovation.

Jordan has a proven track record as a Saskatchewan tech ecosystem leader and has helped Cultivator companies raise $115 million in investment capital over the past six years. He has worked arm-in-arm with founders and helped them through ideation, to business building, to raising institutional investment.

Jordan will join an already extremely talented venture capital team, who will continue to help drive success through our venture capital funds. Jordan will continue to serve startups and the Saskatchewan tech ecosystem as a dedicated resource for Conexus Venture Capital Fund #1 and any future funds in that series. We see the value of our venture capital portfolio of companies and the growth this fund has brought to Saskatchewan and are excited for the continued success it will bring.

Conexus Venture Capital Fund #1 was launched in 2019 as another effort by Conexus to contribute to economic growth. It continues to be a source of venture capital funding for startups here in Saskatchewan and across Western Canada. When we started this journey to support and build an ecosystem right here in Saskatchewan, venture capital deployment in the province was scarce. In 2018, Saskatchewan saw only $16M of the $3.7B in venture capital deployed across Canada. Fast forward to the end of 2022, and Saskatchewan’s share of Canadian venture capital deployment was $136M, an increase of over $120M, and a 750% positive change.

We are excited to contribute to the continued innovation and success of the Saskatchewan startup ecosystem with Jordan as a key part of the team.
