Feb. 22 2023: Keeping your information safe with Mimecast

Keeping our member’s information safe is a top priority at Conexus and we are always looking for ways to increase security. Email is one of the most attacked platforms by hackers and fraudsters therefore it demands the strongest possible protection. That’s why Conexus is launching a new way to send privileged information to members through Mimecast.

What is Mimecast?

Mimecast is a secure messaging portal that provides email protection, keeping your information safe from any potential threats. These are just a few of the things that using Mimecast helps us protect your information from:

• Phishing & Ransomware

• Social Engineering

• Payment fraud; and

• Impersonation

This new technology will give you the comfort that your emails are safe and secure.

How does it work?

When receiving a message through this secure messaging portal you are only allowed to a read and/or respond to the message by logging in with an email address and password. Messages can’t be accessed until these steps take place. When a secure message is sent, the recipient will receive an email notification that they have a new message in the portal and can access it by logging in.

How does it impact me?

If you’re receiving sensitive communications and/or files from us by email it will now be through this new secure technology. Which means you will be redirected to the portal and be required to login before accessing the message.
