Our commitment to truth and reconciliation
We recognize the harmful legacy of residential schools and the colonization of Indigenous people in Canada and the impact it has had on our members, employees and community partners, while also embracing this opportunity for education and reparation. As part of our response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action, we are committed to doing our part by providing workplace inclusion and opportunities, education and training, community investments and partnerships, and relationship building with the Indigenous community and leaders.
This includes:
Requiring all employees to take time to learn and grow as individuals by participating in “The 4 Seasons of Reconciliation” course offered by the First Nations University of Canada
Teaming up with local, Indigenous-owned Saskatchewan businesses to design and provide orange shirts to our employees
Support of several Indigenous organizations that provide education on Indigenous history and culture, including but not limited to:
Wanuskewin summer camps
NVSSN Project of Heart delivered through Luther College
Miyo-wîcîwitowin Day at Mosaic Stadium in Regina
